| Customer Reviews: No problems yet June 25, 2010 J. A. Keller I bought this because my Dell started making noise. I decided to go with the 64 bit OS and lots of RAM. I'm glad I did. I run PhotoShop and several other memory and computing intensive programs and it does all of them with ease.
A great machine! Dual Monitors Work Just Fine March 3, 2010 T. Hill (Maine) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I just purchased a second DX4300-11 for my office, at $449.99 why not!
I liked the specs on this machine and paid $699.99 for the first one Jan 1st of this year. I have to say after reading "runmans" review, I disagree. I have dual monitors hooked up no problem I have an older 22 hooked to the on-board VGA and an HD projector hooked up to the on-board hdmi for movie watching.
It runs full Abobe Creative Suite 3 flawlessly and smokin' fast compared to my older athlon x2 machine with 4gigs of ram. And does it with a 1080p movie playing on the projector at the same time.
I'm not a hardcore gamer so I dont need a huge power supply, and while the power supply could be bigger and the "on-board" video is quite obviously not going to perform as well as a good dedicated card, this is an excellent machine.
I read many reviews before buying the first one. All I can say is if top of the line is what your looking for, Good luck with that. A week after you drop big dollars on the newest tech, your gonna realize its outdated..., Do your homework and buy what meets your requirements with room to grow.

Moments before writing this I purchased my second 2.5Ghz quad core AMD Gateway DX4300-11 w/ 8gigs of Ram, a 1TB hard drive, Win 7 Home Premium, Dual Layer DVD-Burner and a card reader that actually fits CF cards from my Digital SLR (unlike my laptop).
For $460.00 shipped who can say anything bad?
Affordable, Hassle-Free Home Theater PC January 4, 2010 Scott Horwitz (Chicago, IL USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I purchased this PC with the intent to connect it to my HDTV, record television in HD using Windows Media Center, and stream internet television and movies from websites like Netflix and Hulu. The computer does all this flawlessly. The HDMI output works great with my TV, and the sound is perfect with my speakers. This is a budget PC, but it has a lot of bang for your buck. I do not use it for gaming or high-end video editing, but if you are looking for an affordable computer to hook up to your home theater, I highly recommend this product. In addition, I have no slow-down while surfing the internet, and it loads typically slow software like iTunes instantly. The 64-bit Windows 7 operating system is also very nice and works seamlessly with Windows Media Center. If you want a PC that is easy to set up with your home theater, this product comes with everything you need. The TV tuner is built in, the remote is included, and Windows Media Center has a great on-screen interface that is easy to set up. My biggest complaint is that I had to remove a lot of needless trial software installed by the manufacturer. However, that's pretty typical these days, and it's not difficult to remove programs. All in all, this is an affordable, hassle-free home theater PC, and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
A good machine lacking several things January 2, 2010 Thomas M. Taylor (Phoenix, AZ) 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
this computer bench marks slowest in it's price range with quard processors. The video card is sub standard and upgrading the video card will include replacing the power supply of the computer because Gateway placed a 300 watt power supply, and the on board video has no ability to have dual monitors. The video capture card is useless and too old fashion to e of any use.
