The 11.6-inch LED-backlit display (1366 x 768 pixels) presents true 16:9 aspect ratio with high-def resolution and fast 8ms (millisecond) response time for high-quality media playback as well as increased readability in low-light conditions. And the LED backlight technology is 33 percent more energy efficient than standard CCFL LCD screens.
Newly designed from the ground up, the Intel Atom Z520 uses a 45nm (nanometer) design structure with new hafnium-infused circuitry--which reduces electrical current leakage in transistors--to conserve even more energy and give you more time away from the wall outlet. You dont know what your talking about (referring to the individual with the attitude about the Acer netbook here). Your microsoft office program is causing your computer to run slower because it requires enormous amounts of space to run smoothly. If you want more speed try an apple computer for tasking and yes you can even run MS products very well. You can also get a more expensive laptop or desktop to do your chores. Please dont reprimand Acer for your inaccurate choice to do the work you want to do. For netbook work its a geat choice for anyone. If you need professional stuff then get a professional laptop or something more appropriate.

We recently bought an Acer Aspire One netbook (model A0751h-1545), and in a nutshell don't buy this computer or another model from Acer for that matter if you value minimal customer service! It's a waste of money as the computer doesn't work properly (aka constantly crashes) and Acer can't repair it and won't replace it!!
From the start this computer has had problems with freezing. It got to the point where it would freeze multiple times in a skype call (without video by the way) or while playing a movie, so we looked into it and saw that it is a common problem with this model. For more info go to:[...]

After contacting Acer support, they had us do various tests and re-installments but nothing solved the problem. Eventually we had to send it in for repair, and got it back a week ago with a message saying they'd replaced the hard drive and reinstalled the operating system and BIOS ... but the netbook STILL has the exact same problems!
We asked if they could exchange the netbook for another one, even if needed for a cheaper model (but that actually works) and they say they don't do that or give you your money back ... you are basically stuck with the lemon! So basically they're going to send us in circles until the warranty runs out and then claim it is no longer their problem.
From all the posts and complaints we've seen online in the meantime, this is a COMMON PROBLEM, Acer knows about it and they DON'T CARE! My daughter doesn't demand much from her computer ... basic web browsing, skyping, word processing, and this netbook can't handle that!
This has been an extremely disruptive experience, as my daughter basically hasn't been able to use her computer properly for MONTHS!!
Spare yourselves the TIME, MONEY and STRESS and buy a DIFFERENT BRAND!

I bought this lap-top for my most recent deployment to Afghanistan as a junk computer that I didn't care if it got destroyed. It lasted the whole 7 months, and still works great. When i first got it it did run a little slow, but I disabled every unneccesary little option that windows loves, and it ran noticeable faster immediately. I've had it about a year now, and still use it now that i'm back. Great for traveling, battery lasts when you know you won't be near power for a while. I velcroed a 500GB external to the case for movies, and it helped with the small HD. Overall great value!
